John: See Jennifer White Wolf Clark's tweak for the input voltage amplifier stage. She proposes more or less dual SRPPs, but she takes the output off the plate of the lower tube, if my memory is correct, and I could be wrong. If I AM correct, then the output is a hi-Z one. There is provision for balancing the circuit built in to her schematic. I don't know if anyone (except Jennifer) has tried her circuit, but it's a very interesting alternative.
