Proper Bias for older Novacron

I have the eariler 2 pot novacron, one for balance one for overall bias
what should my total bias ma. be set at under test with bias test switch
held down. I have a digital current meter. At this time I have been using
appx 260 ma. Is this ok?? I'm disconnecting my speakers and placing the
meter across the normal pos. and neg's not using the internal test meter
