I am not sure on the 1.6 since I have never heard M60's on them, but it should make a difference. The 1.6 are almost as hard to drive as the 3.5's...
I just had my preamp to '11' listening to some Sara K(female vocals) with a great deep bass section. The room rattled, I have never had my 3.5's move that much air. The bass is much bigger with the z's.
