Although closer to the truth we still seem to have some problems with this analysis.

First, the actual max output power is at 14-16 ohms (kind of a flat peak) and

Second, the actual measured output impedance is still under 4 ohms.

So the formula is either wrong or the values in it are.

I beleive that the Rp, like the mu, is not fixed but is somewhat variable. If you make a small change in Rp, like 240 instead of 280, you start to see what I mean. If mu can be 2.5 instead of 2, the results are much closer to reality.

I think that this is part of the issue that never gets serious discussion but should. Fotunately for us, tubes are not static devices.
