MA-1 MK2 Hum

OTL Asylum

OTL, Output Transformerless Amplifier User Group.

I just received my Ma-1's yesterday. I set everything up with great care
and viola, the left amp has an audible buzz, and both amps have a slight
(ear to the woofer 60cps hum). The right amp has no buzz at all. Each amp
is hooked up to its own 20 amp dedicated ac line. The buzz is there with
or without the preamp on.
My previous amps, also OTL's were absolutely dead quiet in the same system.
I changed input tubes and reversed RCA input cables. Left amp still
buzzes no matter what. I floated the ac chords, then unfloated, no change.
I don't want to bother Ralph yet, will call him soon however. XLR shorting
pins are installed. If removed Buzz and Hum become much louder.
