Rumors abound with KSS amplifiers. As they say in the
news services, Informed sources say the KSS is/are:1) Not known for their reliability.
2) Do not use quality parts.
3) Are very difficult to get serviced or upgraded
at the factory.
4) Are built in a "garage shop".
5) Support or sales are often not available by
telephone.
6) Do no compare sonically with Atma-Sphere.These are all opinions I heard form current owners
trying to sell their KSS amplifiers or from those
who were happy they were able to sell what they
considered a poor investment. I have no direct
experience with any KSS product.It is not my intension to offend anyone with these
comments. I've heard much the same about the
Futterman/NYAL OTL amplifiers. The same is not
true of the mainstay of Atma-Sphere's competition.
