If you set out to design a driver unsuitable for OB you'd probably end up with something close to a Tannoy.
OBs really want drivers with a high to very hight Qts while Tannoys have famously low to very low Qts. Also Tannoys are not high excursion so eq'ing is not really an option.

However the midrange does clean up a lot when you remove bass duties from the Dual Concentric. In your situation I would consider building 215s and run them 3way as per factory option crossed at 150Hz.
Of course you can just go ahead with your 15s and add a pair of 15" woofers in separate cabs later.
