I have not auditioned the Oppo 205 and are only commenting on your enthusiastic review headphone.guru which seems at odds with statements from Modwright who say it is a bit cold & clinical with hard edge or glare.... I have no interest in tubes new or old. As for mch. with a receiver this only refers to Kal who uses a pre-pro & additional amps. I assume you have no interest in mch SACD. I repeat reading your review of the 205, its hard to understand why anyone would spend more than the cost of this spinner on a extortionate priced mod.$2495 when according to you it is already a Universal- Sensation.
