was never shoved down our throats. It was always optional.What was shoved down our throats was multichannel sacs players without the ability to correct speaker setup distance differences.
In most real world setups the rear speakers are placed closer to the hot seat than the fronts.There is nothing more wrong then hearing the sound from the rears too soon!
