Well, of course it's not that simple. There's impedence to think about. But any competently designed cable basically will sound the same.Really.
Feel compelled to spend $1000 on improving the sound of your system? Spend some money on bass traps, beer, and software. You'll get much more out of it than an interconnect upgrade.
Unless you really like spending money on nearly nothing, that is.
