I got tired of looking at my Stax Lambda Pros sitting on the Stax headphone stand. My Stax SRM1/Mk II estat amp has been in need of another trip to be fixed. I have been considering another estat headphone amp.

I dropped $1600 on the Woo Audio GES. I have read glowing reports on that estat amp and figured it was time to spend something on my estat headphones that I have owned since Christmas of 1990.

To be fair I did send my SRM1/MkII amp out for repair 8 years ago but I have had the bug to do something about my estat headphones. After I try out the GES I may upgrade to the L700 or, if I really lose what mind I have left, I will go for the SR-009S.

After dropping that kind of dough I will be obliged to upgrade the amp too but...one thing at a time.

I knew this would eventually happen.
