The L700 has really captivated me, along with the tubed 007tll energizer I've found a whole new appreciation for my music.
I didn't audition any of the other models within the line so I'm not qualified to give an assessment of how they compare to the rest of the line but this specific set up so really moves me emotionally when I have a high quality recording. And this coming from a guy that has a fairly resolving home audio speaker system that I've worked on for years.
Electrostatics are a whole different ballgame, at least for me, I have ET planar room speakers but they don't do anything like my Stax system.
One last comment, be prepared to spent come cash, these systems are not cheap and I barely just scratched the surface price wise. I want to and hope to call this my end game, I just hope I can keep my wallet in my pocket.
