... my headphone cables were connected to my headphones. And other people here (whose headphones also have cables attached, sometimes even hardwired) have been bringing up the subject of headphone cables forever - or at least ever since the Headphone forum was created some years ago...
To give you another example, when the subject of aftermarket earpads for headphones is brought up in this forum, no one ever asks "Doesn't this belong on the Tweaks forum?" Well, my best guess is that the reason no one here (including you) ever thought to ask such as question is because *everyone knows*... EARPADS ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE HEADPHONES - just like "headphone cables" are.
Besides, the people over on the Cables forum tend to be like most of the people here at AA - they are Speakerphiles, not Headphiles. The typical AA'er doesn't give a rat's azz about headphone cables because most of them rarely (if ever) listen to headphones.
One of the reasons the Headphone forum was created was to give the Headphiles here their own unique place to discuss headphone matters. Prior to the creation of the Headphone forum, interested parties would post their comments or questions over on "General" (or on "Speakers") and would find little or no participation in their threads. In fact, some of the Speakerphiles here almost seemed to be slightly annoyed when Headphiles dared to bring up their favorite subject on the forums that existed before "Headphone Heights" was created.
It was finally decided that "Headphiles" deserved their own place to worship, and the Headphone forum was born...
No, "The Bored" (or anyone else for that matter) never once complained about the subject of headphone cables being brought up (by myself or anyone else) in discussions here until "discord" suddenly erupted on the scene a few days ago.
And finally, my post was made in reference to an existing post right here on this forum. So it would be slightly weird to post my post anywhere else, now wouldn't it?
