Hi, I am trying to connect to my ford stereo to a female 3.5mm headphone jack and I thought it would be pretty straight forward. I found the schematic for the stereo connection and thought I can just use the Left and right audio input on the 6 disc changer/rear entertainment connection, but it shows R+,R- and L+,L- for imput and I wired it to the female head phone jack. Because headphones only have left, right and common ground, I connected the R- and L- together on the jack and it isnt working? The schematic also has a connection they mark as stereo shield, but my wires are sheiled only by the ground wires? Anyone help me figure out what I am doing wrong? Do the R- and L- need to be seperate, and if so, how would I get them into three wire headphones jack?
