Take one look at the Combat Armor headphones from Ovidius, and you'll understand why they got their name. Inspired by the chariot armor of the Qin Dynasty, the all-metal, honeycomb-style outer shell gives these headphones an impressively stark look. Inside the enclosure is an oversized, 100-millimeter, planar diaphragm driver that allows for the exaggerated 15 hertz to 40 kilohertz frequency range. And thanks to that planar design, the response also carries plenty of detail and power with it. The package comes with a detachable, braided, silver-plated copper cable with a 3.5-millimeter termination-but the Combat Armor headphones are also compatible with 2.5- and 4.4-millimeter balanced cables for more versatility alongside your existing DAC and amp setups.
