The Verite Closed (VC)is the best closed headphone that I've ever owned. That said, I like the Verite Open (VO) a little bit better. I owned both for about 6 months before I decided to sell the closed version. After owning the VC, I realized that I really didn't need a closed headphone. The VC is great headphone if you need or prefer a closed can. It was also the most beautiful headphone that I've ever owned in dark leopardwood. Zach and Bevin do a great job finishing their headphones.
In comparison, my VO just sounded more open and 3D than the VC while retaining the characteristics of the best ZMF headphones. ZMF headphones sound great with tube amps. My tube amp is the Auris Nirvana. I also own the HiFiMan Susvara, Abyss 1266TC, and the Focal Utopia.
