Hi,
I am new to Electrostatic headphones. I recently bought a pair, after reading good reviews, of relatively inexpensive, Stax SRM2525 solid state amp/SR-L300 earspeaker combination. New on eBay, for around $600, shipped from Japan. I think they sound excellent. Detail and space are very enjoyable. My main stereo system is tube based, and I prefer the sound of tubes. I am wondering if I could squeeze a little more enjoyment out of these, if I replace the little SS SR2525 amp, with a tube based unit. Could anyone point me to what tube based amps would be compatible with the SR-L300 earspeakers?
New or used fine.
Thanks,
mg16
