Replacing headphone cables is normally a matter of taste rather than a procedure to correct a fault. If the sound is breaking up then why are you not seeking to change the cable under warranty or, if it has expired, simply buying a new one? How have you established that the breakup is the cable and not the phones or, even, the source supplying them?
If the existing cables are simply not to your taste then what are you trying to achieve?
