Thanks for the advice. I am jealous as used K501s are now pretty much unobtainable particularly in my part of the world. Spare earpads are available though!I'm not sure but I think they may have come from AKG before being taken over by Harman. I suppose they are now owned by Samsung - I guess that may be the reason that AKG IEMs are now bundled with their top of the range phones.
Will they ever produce a true succesor to the K501s? I think that the K550s may now be the nearest product.
