I've an extra disassembled ST70 laying around doing nothing. I've also a bunch of old EL34's. Is it posible to reassemble the power transformer and bias circuitry to make myself a "mule" for powering my tubes at realistic voltages for matching purposes? These tubes will primarily be used in my other ST70. I've a pair of Bias Probes (you know, the little tube base mounted on a ceramic socket thingy). Can I use these? As you might have guessed I know very little about what's actually going on in a tube amp. Could someone please explain how to do this in VERY basic terms? Please help!
