Thanks for your quick insights. If I may ask a few more quesitons?1. When you mentioned compatibility DVD-Video audio portion, what exactly is that? Is it Dolby Digital Stereo? What encoding rate is used with that?
2. WinDVD Platinum ($69.95) is supposed to have High Resolution (96Khz/24bit) Audio encoding plus Dolby Digital. That is supposely what sets it apart from Gold version. However, there are also an "Audio Booater Pack" ($12.95) and a "DVD-Audio Pack" ($39.95). Does it mean that even Platinum version itself does not support DVD-Audio at hires? $69.95+39.95+12.95 seems a little steep. Also, if DVD-Audio is an optional plugin, what do I lose by buying Gold with DVD-Audio pack?
IMHO their marketing of the product is a little consufing.
