Pet Sounds - should I buy?

To my delight I found that my local purveyor of fine DVD-Audio products has received a new batch of titles. I immediately grabbed Queens 'The Game', and wow what a great disc, quality across the board from packaging to playback.
I also picked up Pet Sounds, mulled around with it, and put it back, which is typical of me. As a passive Beach Boys admirer (I have the greatest hits which is great for driving to the beach with) should I buy it? The thing that stopped me was a bout of honesty - I just can't picture myself sitting and actively listening to the Beach Boys. Am I way off here? Should I have bought it?
Maybe I just should have bought it. Why do I do this to myself?
