Promoting the format... DVD Audio campaign to establish the format on German market

A wave of new, inexpensive players and hifi systems introduced by Panasonic/Technics, step-up European-designed players by Harman Kardon, Warner advertisements in the DVD press highlighting new releases, another campaign to be launched by Naxos and large department stores focusing on successful releases like "Hotel California", "Automatic for the People" and "Elvis No. 1's" bring home the message that DVD Audio is "the sound of the future". Three of four major labels are now committed to DVD Audio - and well-informed consumers demand DVD-Audio to be included in more expensive players.

The popularity of DVD and surround sound, a growing number of releases and visible presentation in stores seem to be paying off for DVD Audio. German "DVD Magazin" will report on DVD Audio's success in its June/July issue.
