Assuming it's 5.1 channels encoded, then yes the audio is still compressed at somewhere in the vicinity of 10:1.

If a Dolby Stereo (DD2.0) track is available, it will have a little less overall compression than DD, but I doubt you'd hear a difference between DD5.1 and DD2.0.
