New DVD-Audio music releases and talk about the latest players.

Just make sure your informed...

Just bare in mind, it is impossible for DVD-A to every achieve the exact sound as in the studio.

Since they add watermarks to virtually every commercial release, they are all corrupted from the outset. So even if your HiFi gear could achieve perfect reproduction, it would always be limited by the source.

Also, none of those discs your seeing in the shops which are Dolby Digital & DTS are DVD-A. Theyre MP3-DVD's, since they use lossy compression. Furhtermore, you won't get a digital out field compatible with your DAC for the DVD-A tracks.

I suggest you buy a universal machine, so at least you can listen to SACD releases (which at 2.8mhz sampling rate are much higher quality than DVD-A). DVD-A is a good format for extra's, video clips and possibly home recording if you can afford all the gear needed. But its pretty limited for music.

Many people will try and cover up the issues I raise. Just ask them "Which releases don't have a watermark ?", and you will see they will never have an answer.
