Pioneer DV-45A Does Play MP3s!

Hi-Rez? No, but MP3s are great for easy portability, storage and background music. I have had good results with MP3 files on my 45A. I use RAZORLAME to create files and NERO to burn the discs. Refer to page 10 in your DV-45A Operating Instructions manual.

Make sure that your burning software is set for the correct file compliance. I did goof once. I couldn't get a MP3 disc to play, until I realized that I had burned it as an open multisession disc. Now, I just make sure to check the NO MULTISESSION option in NERO. Also, the 45A does play VBR tracks. I do so often. The manual states that VBR tracks may cause the 45A to not display the playing time correctly. I have not noticed this quirk, as I use MP3 mainly in the background.

One complaint I have about the 45A's MP3 performance, is that it doesn't display the bit rate information on the video monitor or on the front panel display.

Good Luck
