Do what I did -- drop Warner Bros instead.I agree with one of your suggestions and have made that same one several times. Just make it mandatory to label all watermarked discs -- CDs, DVDs, SACDs, etc. It's done for profanity on CDs and for health reasons on cigarettes. Let the buyer make an informed decision. I don't think it's a question of audibility, but of responsibility. I want to purchase music -- not music with crap added to it.
