I get pangs of deep regret when I look at my aging DVD-Audio collection - regret that WB let it slide, let it fail, didn't promote it at all, wrote it off as a failure. Oh, the humanity.
I still believe 24/96 or 24/192 PCM is the ultimate way to encode audio. Let's hope that there's a rennaisance of high-resolution audio in the new high-definition video formats.
