I saw a list of DVD-Audio discs that came out in Japan in August. The list can be found at: http://www.jvcmusic.co.jp/dvd-audio/I ordered the Hampton Hawes Trio (VIAJ-60024) and the Art Tatum With Ben Webster (VIAJ-60025) but they haven't come in yet. Has anyone heard any of these and care to comment on the sound? I am particularly interested in how that Tatum disc sounds as the XRCD of this date is one of the best-sounding redbook CDs I own. It'll be fun to A/B the two.
BTW, these things are pricy. I got them from Hiroshi Tanno at Early Records (http://www.earlyrecords.com/indexe.html) and they were about $36 each with shipping.
