DVD video players and s/pdif output

New DVD-Audio music releases and talk about the latest players.

I would like to know how to find out if a particular dvd video player can output 24/96. I'm interested in playing non-copy protected dvd video discs containing 24/96 files burned with dvd audio authoring software such as audio dvd creator.
How can this be done short of having a 24/96 DAC that tells you what it's locked on to?
I'm curious because I don't have the software yet and my DAC doesn't tell me what it's accepting.
