I like the CD + DVD-A packaging personally.

I can rip the CD losslessly onto my media server for whole house distribution and then put it into my car and use the DVD-A in my surround system.

The video aspect doesn't appeal to me. It was a big deal 20 or so years ago when it first came out, but I like to think I've matured since then. On a good day I have. We won't talk about a bad day ;-)

The fact that WB is leaving format at the discretion of the artist is to me a a huge positive. This means the artist has some control over the distributed product for their fan base.

I guess the video aspect does matter, and unfortunately audio quality isn't as important as it used to be, yet here's Jackson Browne @ 24/96K surround and 24/192K stereo -- so I guess it mattered to him.
