I have a Pioneer 45A that is sick. CD works OK, but DVD/DVD-A/SACD discs are not recognized. My initial assumption is that there are two laser assemblies and that the DVD one is shot, but that's a guess. Are there any known problems along these lines? A quick search didn't turn anything up, but I figure it's worth a try.
Barring that, I've been way out of the player market for quite a while, so pointers to info on budget universal players would be welcome. (from the cheapies up to maybe $1k)
