I've recently purchased the same sound card and have also been experimenting. I really wanted to rip the DVD-A tracks to my hard drive but can't figure out how. I know your not supposed to be able to do this, but the install disc for my SB card has a DVD-A sample track on it, and after installation I can play this file from my HD via the SPDIF digital connection (back of card to Preamp). None of this is suppose to be possible but evidently it is, and the sample sounds great (all 5 speakers). I would settle for ripping the DTS 5.1 tracks from some hybrid DVD-A’s but I cant figure that out either.
