I was being facetious.Weird though, the 3 players I have hooked up to my home system, Sony XA777ES, Sony C333ES and Denon 3800 all refuse to play the CD layers on the two dualdiscs.
Yes, I forgot, the CD layer plays fine on my PC drive. I was able to extract the data and burn a copy for my daughter so she could listen to the darn Simple Plan album.
Ok - so true numbers than - the DualDisc won't play in my three main players nor in my daughter's boombox. They will play in 2 Sony Walkman, my car CD player and our PC. So it won't play in 50% of my CD players. Still not a good number in my estimation, and this time I am serious.
I truly do not like DualDisc. Any format that won't play in more than a few players (and the Sony XA777ES and Sony C333ES are quality players) is not a viable format overall. They should be shooting for near 100% compatibility with these discs, but they haven't.
