Home DVD-Audiobahn

New DVD-Audio music releases and talk about the latest players.

The last track glitch is almost certainly an authoring issue . . .

I've seen this sort of this happen before. And it's absolutely nothing to do with the format per se. Rather some chap in the mastering studio must have made a small mistake, and in the rush to get it out, the discs weren’t checked thoroughly enough. I've already alerted Warner, and I expect this issue will be corrected. Sure, it will be an embarrassment to them, but I expect them step up to the mark and sort it out. And that’s what counts at the end of the day.

As for the other compatibility issues, well so far the DVD sides of DualDiscs work in every DVD player, and the CD sides work in every vanilla CD player (including car ones).

The only players where the CD layer sometimes has issues, is in some DVD players (but then that’s what the DVD side is for), and also some [Sony] CD/SACD players (well I can’t comment about them because I don’t have one).
