When you set it to 192 it does not mean it outputs 192. Just means that "if" the disc had 192 content and "if" it were allowed to be decoded then the output would be 192. Otherwise the output is whatever the disc can put out (in the case of a CD then 16/44). Some receivers/DACs cannot handle 192...so if you had a disc in the machine that was 192 and it allowed its 192 digital out then the receiver/DAC would not work....then you would have to set the output on the player to 24/96 or lower so the receiver/DAC would work.
