Walter, you may be right but the unit does seem to pass the 96khz data from my DADs. Do you think that on DVD-A, Panasonic intentionally dumbed it down? That seems silly since the Panasonic receivers tell you what their decoding. Once it gets out that they don't pass the 96khz or better on the DVD-A, most people will steer clear of it as a transport, cheap or not.Jack
