In Reply to: Denon DVD-5900 fails to play Classic Records DADs! posted by Jim Pearce on June 23, 2004 at 06:41:08:
I use a Bel Canto Dac2 with my 5900, and when I play DAD in the Denon, the 24/96-capable Dac2 can't decode the signal outputted from the 5900 properly (lots of stuttering).I hooked up an old 24/96-capable Pioner DVD player to the Dac2, and DADs play without a problem.
On the other hand, I have had no problems playing DADs from the analog outs of my 5900.
