New DVD-Audio music releases and talk about the latest players.

Thanks

There is a guy who used to maintain one of the Genesis internet FAQs who credited these films as an inspiration, but I've never gotten around to looking for a copy. I think you have rekindled my interest however. Thanks.

Gabriel left the band briefly while they were working on The Lamb to help out with a movie script. When that project died, he came back and the band had already recorded all of the music for the album, but the lyrics were only half-written (because PG had insisted on being the sole writer for this album). The result is that the lyrics on the songs towards the end of the second and fourth album sides were rushed. These include Counting out Time, Carpet Crawlers and Chamber of 32 Doors, which I always felt didn't fit in too well with the rest of the story. Maybe that's because PG got desperate and "borrowed" these bits liberally from film. I'll have to see.

Dave
