You probably hear a 'white' noise. I have observed that too with some sacd setups. I find it a bit sloppy as in my opinion these channels should be dead quite under normal listening conditions.I can turn up the volume to a near clipping level setting and there is no noise observable even with my ear at 1" from the tweeter.
I'm preparing a mp3 sample with some amplified low level details.
