I think one's own ears are the best judge! :-)b.t.w. you have the -2900 -- right? -- well that requires you to raise the LFE input (on the preamp) to something like +10dB.
On my -5900 there is already a LFE +10dB 'boost' function in the speaker setup screen. (The was the biggest reason for me to upgrade to the -2900's big brother.)
