Perhaps I should have mentioned that I applied a large amount of gain to be able to observe it.There is no doubt, it must be the noise shaped in band noise from dsd.
The noise didn't come from mic's or analog circuitry as it sounds to colored for that.It wasn't my equipment either, sampling from the players output without spinning the disc resulted in a much lower noise floor.
The noise shaping lowers the in band noise, it doesn't remove it.
