More fooling around with my sound card and DVD-As

New DVD-Audio music releases and talk about the latest players.

i tried recording a few samples from Classic Records HDAD of Alan Parsons Project: I Robot.
i was a bit disappointed that there seems to be not much spectral information above 20-25kHz.
Fortunately, no signs of clipping :-)
Interestingly, i was able to rip the 96/24 tracks on the DVD-V side.
it will be interesting to compare the dynamics of the ripped digital tracks against the recording of the analog output of the player (to determine if the player is in fact compressing transients).
anyway, should be an interesting analysis if i get the time.
