New DVD-Audio music releases and talk about the latest players.

Hot deal-for those ready to jump to DVDA

I could not wait for my Sony 555ES to come back; I needed stereo hi-rez, now. Downstairs I have surround, HT, but not really audiophile (JBL S-310s, Denon receiver). So, what did I buy to get me by?

The new Panasonic DVD F-61A, a stereo only DVDA player, and of course DVD. 5 disc carousel. VERY sturdy, I place the DVDA's in the holder, and they do not move in the holder, nor does the carousel move. Silver, but with black on its faceplate to match other black components. Full function remote, detachable power cord.
Double remaster function to add higher frequencies signals not recorded on the disc, for 44.1 and above (so it works with dts discs). Variable degree of this. Sleep timer. No "video off" function. :-(

Playing my new Grover Washington "Winelight" DVDA, ($13.99 at Fry's), sounds good. Price-....
Drum roll..............

$99.00 at Costco.
