Should be no problem for audio. You might have to use the player's settings menu in order to turn on the digital output.Unlike most home theater receivers, your tubedac probably does not have Dolby or DTS processors. Make sure that your DVD player is set-up to convert Dolby and DTS into PCM before sending through the digital out. Unprocessed DTS sounds like very loud static which could damage downstream gear (speakers, amps).You might want to play it safe and make sure your volume is turned down for its inaugural runs with both Dolby and DTS.
