TV required for DVD-A playback?

I don't have a DVD-A player but before I go out and buy one I'd like to make sure I'm not tied to on-screen menus to play them. I have the Telarc 1812 Overture disk but any player I put it in seems to use the OSD. Does anyone use DVD-A on a music only system?
