Re: I've been to the mountaintop in northern Ohio...

Don't worry Magnetar!!!!

The reason why I have been giving you comments, and then Maldar gave you comments, about a little bit of harshness, is because we have formed a conspiracy (he he).

Our plan is to help you along making your system perfect, the best bar none. We have already started to find real estate in the area, because once audiophiles and home theatre nuts start hearing how good your system is, they will flock to your doorstep. Our plan is to build a hotel on that real estate and put your system in some sort of large accoustically perfect room and the people can come down from their rooms at this hotel and listen to great sound and see great movies with great sound. We will make millions!!

Of course, we would give you and Rose the presidential suite on the top floor, with breakfast in bed every morning and champagne dinners every evening, and, of course, a cut of the profits (yada, yada yada).

We did not want to tip our hat to you about this, but now we figured that you are on to us!!

A little more seriously, I don't want my comments to eclipse in your mind how good I think your system sounds. It really is remarkable, and with some minor tweaking (which it seems you have already done), the reproduction of music is incredible.

At this point, I wonder how your system compares to an Oris system? I guess both systems will be set up at VSAC so people going there will find out, although I wonder if the Sierra system there will be as remarkable as yours?

I do have a question for you. I understand that you had a SACD player for a while. I am thinking of picking up a Sony 777ES player. Is that the one that you had, and if so, how did it do with SACDs and Redbook CDs? If that is not the one that you had, which SACD player did you have and how did it perform?
