Hi Doug, I got most of the ideas from this forum. You can do a search to get a couple more. I found the following to be enough to get me a dead silent preamp for my 95db speakers.
1. Output RCA grounds re-routed directly to the star ground.
2. Ground from output transformers (Signature edition) goes directly to the star ground, not to the line board.
These changes reduced the audible hum that I had to zero. Basically it seems that any long route to ground using the output board ground which then goes to the power supply board and then to ground can be shortened up if it does not need to go that route. YMMV.
I just installed the MCaps today so I will be doing a writeup on that in a while after a break in period.
