Thanks for the update.

FWIW, Buckeye usually has a 3 gain switch option. They try to keep the 3 gains consistent so you can mix and match Buckeye Purifi amps with Buckeye Hypex/NCore amps.

You can see the 3 position High/Low/Mid switch on their website image.

They also offer a 3 position trigger switch (Auto, On, 12V).

They do not offer opamp rolling, trying to stay consistent with the OEM reference design.

Case is made in Canada, not Ghent Audio from China like VTV's cases.

From Buckeye's webpage:

Custom I/O Board:

Neutrik XLR connectors
Gold plated 5-way speaker binding posts
Low, Med, High Gain settings
TI OPA1656 OP Amp
TI TPS7A30/49 Voltage Regulators
Auto Sensing On/Off
12v trigger On/Off
Muted soft-start/shutdown (minimizes speaker "pop" when turning on and off)
Clipping Indication (via front power LED)
Error Indication (via front power LED)

Gain Settings

4 ohm - 25.5dB/2.9Vrms (High), 20.5dB/5.2Vrms (Medium), 15.5dB/9.2Vrms (Low)
8 ohm - 25.5dB/2.9Vrms (High), 20.5dB/5.2Vrms (Medium), 15.5dB/9.2Vrms (Low)

High input gain setting matches up with the input gain of the Hypex amplifiers, perfect for those wanting to mix Purifi amplifiers with Hypex amplifiers (such as for a home theater setup).

RCA vs. XLR

While our amplifiers use XLR inputs, it is perfectly fine (and fully supported by Purifi) for customers to use RCA to XLR cables to connect the amplifier to a source that only has RCA outputs.
Please see our FAQ section for more information if necessary.
