An old friend of mine lives in Glen Cove right next to Sea Cliff and I asked him if he ever heard of HP.I was so hoping he was going to say, "Oh sure, old friend, next time you visit, etc."
My biggest takeaway from HP always was, always go for the dedicated listening room rule 1. My setup is spartan and has two modes, summer gets the Audiolab 8000a, winter gets the BAT vk-3i and the VK-500. Speakers are the ever lovely LRS's. A Sub, etc.
Just a 17x12 listening room these days. But it *is* a listening room. I learned to respect the room from The Absolute Sound. It's kind of ironic. I never got a "gear snob" vibe from either TAS or Stereophile. I did see people really reaching, in order to, well, just play some lovely music.
No regrets except I never should have given away my Snell D's when I moved.
